The Daytona 500 2018 is the 60th edition of the event. Folks who are the
diehard fans of NASCAR have always been waiting for this event because

It is a Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race which is set to happen on
February 18, 2018. The contest is 200 laps long, on the 2.5 miles or 4
km asphalt superspeedway. So, there will be no slowing cars here. You

This year Daytona 500 live is also the very first race of the 2018
Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series Season. If you think that there are a

This event will be conducted at the Daytona International Speedway. The

During the qualifying round on Sunday, February 11th, 2018, in Daytona
Beach, Fla, he has made it through the Turn 4 of the Daytona
International Speedway.
Alex Bowman showcases the old familiar car again to the Daytona 500
Leaderboard. The good racer won the pole for the Great American Race in
the debut as the official driver of the No. 88 Chevrolet. Meanwhile,
Earnhardt was the seven time pole winner at Daytona, too.
We can see that Alex Bowman was really happy with the result. He smiled
as soon announced to be winning the pole position during the qualifying
round for the NASCAR Daytona 500 auto race. The qualification was
happening at Daytona International Speedway, Sunday, February 11, 2018,

The no.88 was actually an empty seat which is granted to Bowman. He

think it’s still a little surreal,”. He will race in his second Daytona

Bowman added that he would never have thought it would happen after the
path his career took.
Meanwhile, Denny Hamlin managed to reach the second in a Toyota for Joe
Gibbs Racing with a lap at 195.092. What makes this an astonishing new
is that there are only two cars were locked into the next Sunday’s
season-opening race. The remaining racers qualifications is set to

Back to Bowman. He was the driver who was struggling to piece together
the schedule when Earnhardt was injured back then in 2016. Earnhardt
missed the second half of the season with a concussion. Earnhardt, at
that time, joined with the party to fill in for 10 of the races that
were missed by Earnhardt.
Rick Hendrick was impressed with the performance and steady mentality of
Bowman so that he tap the racer to do the great jobs. At that time,
Earnhardt announced that he would retire at the end of the 2017 year.

the boss knows that their decision was right. Hendrick is now tied with
Harry Ranier for the record of the most consecutive Daytona 500 poles
at four. Jeff Gordon was the winner of the pole in 2015. Chase Elliott

about his achievement. He said that he just held the steering wheel. He

Reportedly, Earnhardt gave positive comment about Bowman’s achievement.
He congratulated to his replacement, who also won a Cup pole while
filling in for Earnhardt in 2016. Despite of the experiences of the
replacement, the achievement of Bowman has been considered as the best
outcome that surpass their team’s expectation.
